Dilemma

Hi ladies, I have one of dd friends here for a sleepover so I was going to take them out for a walk just so they could get fresh air plus, I do that with my dd on a regular basis. The problem is that the friend did not bring a jacket so, shall I give her one of dd spare jackets for the walk or do I call the parent to bring round a jacket.

I really don't mind childminding or kids staying over but I do expect the appropriate clothes to be provided for that night and for the walk to school the next day.

Give her one of your spares. I cant imagine that the parent thought you'd be going out for a walk at this time of night. Assuming you are in the uk.

EssentialHummus · 31/01/2019 21:34

Give her a spare.

SuperstarDJ · 31/01/2019 21:39

Give her a spare. If you’re in the UK it’s unlikely that the parents would think that they would need to plan for you taking their DD on a late night walk. What age are the children btw?

It will be cold tomorrow so she’ll need a coat then unless the parents are coming for her early in the morning so it was most likely a forgetful oversight.

The kids are 6 Superstar and, we are taking them to school tomorrow as well so a jacket will be needed.

Is this for real? You really can't make a decision on whether to lend a coat or not without asking the internet? Confused

Redcliff · 31/01/2019 21:48

Are you in the uk and taking 2 6 year olds out for a walk at 9.30?

Maureen80 · 31/01/2019 21:50

I'm in the UK yes and, its only a 5 minute walk up to the shop.

CantWaitToRetire · 31/01/2019 21:57

It's bitterly cold out tonight. No need to take kids out in this unless it's an emergency.

BornInAThunderstorm · 31/01/2019 22:00

Do you not think they can cope without the fresh air for one day?

Gazelda · 31/01/2019 22:05

I wouldn't be impressed if my dd was saying at someone's house and was taken out to the shop at 9.30pm.
Why aren't the children in bed? They're 6 and have school tomorrow.

Maureen80 · 31/01/2019 22:06

Yeah, I think I will give it a miss but the dilemma still exists for the walk to school tomorrow morning.

A walk at 9.30pm on one of the coldest nights of the year for a pair of 6 year olds?! It's a bit unusual.

Nothisispatrick · 31/01/2019 22:18

Wow, such a dilemma! Seriously why aren’t they in bed? Give her a spare jacket for walk to school.

Maureen80 · 31/01/2019 22:29

They are in bed now, DH just reading them a bedtime story ;). For the walk to school tomorrow, a spare of dd will be used :).

Dilemma
Nothisispatrick · 31/01/2019 22:39

At 10.30! I’m usually in bed before that!

CreakyBlinder · 31/01/2019 22:42

How is it a dilemma? She doesn't have a coat. Lend her a coat.

Confused
Maureen80 · 31/01/2019 22:42

I think its time to get this closed as I got the answer I was looking for :).

You appear to have a bit of a jacket obsession OP....

Maureen80 · 31/01/2019 22:58

Don't start. Before you say anything, I'm not a troll!

MrsApplepants · 31/01/2019 23:00

Not really a ‘dilemma’ is it?

Drogosnextwife · 31/01/2019 23:02
