I've dropped my newborn she's 7 weeks from her car seat onto the floor and she landed on her belly and has small bump on her head. She's been fine but I feel so awful i couldn't bear to be alone with her so my partner stayed of work has anyone else ever done this 😭

It's very common, love

Have you had her checked out?

Oddsocksandmeatballs · 31/01/2019 16:07

Has she been checked over by a medic? Try not to be too harsh on yourself.

SeaToSki · 31/01/2019 16:08

Very common, but you should get her checked since she is a newborn

Yep, let baby fall from Moses basket as I moved it.
Devastated.

Got baby checked by Dr asap.
All fine, no recriminations.

Accidents happen.
But get baby checked.

And then forgive yourself.

Ahhh this happened to me the other day! Handle on car seat wasn’t clicked in place properly and DD (3 months) slid out and landed face down on floor (luckily carpet). She was fine. Think I cried more than her.

Fabaunt · 31/01/2019 23:41

Get her checked over and don’t beat yourself up. I hope you’re both ok

Els23 · 11/08/2021 07:54

I dropped my month old from bed yesterday she cried for five minutes then settled, no bumps or bruises and had fed, and sleeping fine but should I take her to the docs anyway I feel awful

OaxacaChihuahua · 11/08/2021 11:26

These things happen, more often that you’d think!

Get her checked to out your mind at ease and be gentle on yourself Flowers

NoNotYou · 11/08/2021 11:29

I'm sure this (now) toddler* is perfectly fine!!

Don't panic, it is terrifying the first time something like that happens. If you are ever worried but don't think it's an emergancy call 111 and they don't mind going through all their checks to decide if you need to speak to a GP.

Potatoy · 11/08/2021 11:30

Oh! Zombie thread!

Dreamstate · 11/08/2021 11:31

In a year or two your baby will be going st a 100 miles an hour and fall over themselves several times, dont sweat it.

Els23 · 11/08/2021 13:59

Thankyou! I felt so bad! She only cried for a few minutes and now bump or bruises seems her normla self today, my grandma (nurse and health visitor) looked her over and said she seems perfectly fine! So all is welL thankfully
