Just give little bits of whatever your having. Just reduce the salt/sugar content if needs be. They don't have to be 'baby' specific.

Some of dds first foods were mild curry, casseroles and spag bol

As long as you're not eating lots of salty or sugary processed foods yourself, your DS can just have a bit of whatever you're having at 6 months. Only raw honey, whole nuts and other choking hazards are off-limits. You can either mash/puree it or leave it as it is and let him feed himself. If you eat at different times from him, you can save him a bit as long as you reheat it well.

Easy food ideas are plain yoghurt, grated cheese, omelette, toast with toppings, hummus, soup and bread, scrambled eggs...

MN have some great weaning recipes OP. Have you found the Weanibg Section yet too? It's usually full of MNers like you Smile

This guide from the Caroline Walker Trust is very good too. It gives food ideas, sample menus and even portion sizes.

Lentils and beans are suitable from 6 months, so you could try
lentil stew ameliafreer.com/puy-lentil-stew
bean casserole www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/recipes/italian-bean-casserole/
Lentil Dahl www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/spinach-sweet-potato-lentil-dhal
Mild bean burgers

Tuna and white fish can also be introduced at 6 months.
Try tuna balls with pasta www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1445/tuna-balls-with-pea-and-sweetcorn-pasta

Perhaps omit the salt and then salt your own food after you’ve served your 6mo.

Fish pie, Shepherds pie, stews, mild curries (I think I used to make an Annabel Karmel one with apricots in), lasagne, risotto, pasta with broccoli, cauliflower and cheese sauce. I bought loads of small tupperware containers and filled the freezer with portioned up food for ds to have if we were having something he couldn't have.

There is a great App called Baby Led Weaning Cookbook that has some good recipes on.
