10 month old nappy full and leaking at night

He's started to sleep on his side or tummy at night.

We use size 4 Asda nappies. So In the morning he is bone dry at the back and soaking at the front right through to his sleeping bag.

Any suggestions?

The biggest size nappies.

Boots nappies have the best soakage.

He's a long but slim baby. I thought a size 5 nappy would be too loose on him?

Try a different brand. Aldi are excellent.

I've always gone up a size and use pampers for for night time. I use supermarket brands in the daytime. My DD is 14 months and I've been using size 5s since the summer, just moved to to a 6 at night.

I found that taking off my DC vest (that buttons under nappy) stopped my DC from leaking. Turned out it wasn't my nappies that were the problem, vest wasn't long enough!

MrsMcW · 29/01/2019 07:51

Ugh I hear your problem... Asda nappies are terrible for nights - I learned that the hard way! I have Pampers for night times. Go up a size and do them up tight around his waist.

gentlyscented · 29/01/2019 07:53

Have you thought about putting the nappy on back to front at night?

mommybear1 · 29/01/2019 07:54

Our 15mo has had leaking nappies for a week at night we couldn't understand it although he drinks a lot - we already use pampers- went up a size just a night and although he doesn't fit the weight category we have done these up snuggly and no leaks! Definitely go up a size.

Mammyofasuperbaby · 29/01/2019 07:54

Have you tried asdas size 4+ nappies. I had the same problem with ds and this sorted it without having to go up a size.
However if you have a long but slim baby, maybe a different brand would fit better as I find asda is more for stocky children where as aldi are more long and narrow

littlemisscynical · 29/01/2019 07:57

Will have to just suck it up and buy a few different sizes and brands to try. We tried pampers in the early days and didn't really get on with them but will give them another go.

Don't have an Aldi unfortunately as we are in NI.

Pampers are useless. Get boots nappies size 6. Good luck.

littlemisscynical · 29/01/2019 08:02

Thanks all.

Ohh never thought about his vests. They are a bit tight at the bottom!

Another vote for supermarket during day and pampers at night.

cindersrella · 29/01/2019 08:08

I always bout the + nappies as I was told they are the same size but hold that bit more water?

Kirstiesmith1234 · 29/01/2019 08:19

Likewise as others say, we had this when I tried Tesco nappies at night. So now I use pampers at night and Tesco in the day 😀 trial and error to work our what fits baby best. Good luck

slappinthebass · 29/01/2019 09:19

Sounds like a compression problem with the tight vests. If that doesn't help try either Pampers magical pods, or if you have one locally,Lidls nappies have the same feature (they call them magic tubes) that help to distribute across the nappy. I actually prefer Lidl nappies out of them all.

blondeirishmummy84 · 29/01/2019 09:28

Im from NI too and I've found Lidl nappies to be the best and Ive an almost 11 month old. He is also long and slim and in size 4s

littlemisscynical · 29/01/2019 09:34

Thanks all. @blondeirishmummy84 I always liked Lidl nappies too. I had forgotten that I stopped buying the size 4s as they were too big for DS so they're likely to be a better fit now.
