Tap water to make up bottles

I think I know the answer to this but want some reassurance..

DD is 7.5mo and up until now I've been making up bottles using part hot water and cooled boiled water.

When can I use tap water instead of the cooler boiled water?

I'm thinking it's probably fine now seeing as she's having tap water in her beaker with meals, but felt I should check!

I got half way through the standard MN litany about “The risk isn’t from the water, it’s from bugs in the milk powder” before rereading realising that you were already covering that with the 50% fresh boiling water Blush. So yes, sure, if your DC aren’t vulnerable and the tap water is safe to drink then yes, save yourself the time and energy - it’s environmentally sounder.

Excellent, thank you for agreeing with me 😁

As long as the powder is first mixed with boiling hot water, then yep just add the rest as tap water.

Tap water is fine, it's what I give babies in their sippy cups when they start weaning.
