Non-terrible baby doll suggestions please

I'd like to get a baby doll for DD as she's shown lots of interest and there's a new baby on the way so I think it might help getting her familiar with a baby's routines and give her something to do while I see to the new one.

However all the dolls out there seem very very pink and a bit yick generally. Does anyone have any suggestions for slightly less girly/sick-making alternatives, or do I just have to bite the bullet?

I hate traditional dolls - find them very creepy and hate all the pink lacey clothes to! But my DD was very interested. I got her a Chad Valley one which was OK, and then my mum made it some nicer clothes which was definitely better. It had hole so you could put water in its mouth and it would "wee" out of the hole - I found this very creepy but fortunately she never discovered this feature and I have just ignored it!

More recently my friend bought her a soft rag doll style one. I'm not sure why I didn't think of it before - infinitely less creepy and she really loves it, and because it's softer it's nicer for cuddling at bed time.

yes, my mum bought a quite generic baby doll for DD, pink babygro or whatever, but my auntie over the years knitted it a beautiful array of clothes.

M&S do really sweet knitted rag dolls - DD (20 months) really likes hers. (Bought it after she threw a strop because I wouldn't let her take home a filthy plastic baby she found in the park Hmm).

My DD has the baby Annabelle newborn I think it's called. It's basically still got the creepy plastic head but has a soft body and is also quite small which makes it easy for little ones to handle. It comes in blue or pink (facepalm) but DD has the blue version and it's actually not that hideous. I think it's a good toy to have around and she has moments of being really caring and gentle towards it which is probably good if you have another on the way.

This one although there seems to be a newer version now:

DD has it in blue. I just searched for the blue version and it seems harder to get now. Some shops are calling it a 'brother doll' ffs

Asda own brand dolls are lovely!! Ds4 has just about every one!! Obsessed from about 18 months - sobbed and wanted to cuddle them when we went shopping - like he wanted to save them from the shelves or something!

The Baby Born brother doll doesn’t seem so yuck.

Thanks everyone! I'll take a look at the suggestions.
