DD has started leaking out of size 2 but size 3 also leak as a bit too loose in the waist. Have tried several different nappies, anything else to try?

Are you fastening them high enough at the front, and tight enough? I’ve see some people place the tabs all the way to the sides by the hips. I put them nearly meeting in the middle. Brands with really stretchy backs are best. I love Sainsbury’s.

@mnahmnah, thank you- yes high and fastened snugly, also I pull the skirt around the legs out, but the brands I’ve tried haven’t got a stretchy back, will try Sainsbo’s next.

Boots own brand are 100 x better than Sainsbury's. I got Sainsbury's ones and had to bin them.

Obviously can depend on which size you are at and boy or girl for the way wee spreads in the nappy! We used Aldi for both my boys until size 4, but then they weren’t great at size 5, so moved to Sainsbury’s and they work a treat

I had this problem too. I was using Aldi but reached the point where size 2 were too small and size 3 were too big. I swapped him to Pampers size 2 instead as they seemed to run bigger until he fit into the Aldi size 3

Thanks all. We have tried Aldi, Boots, Xhicco, and one other. Is there such a thing as a liner perhaps for extra absorbency?

We had the same problem. Lidl nappies have worked for us.

fieldofwheat · 13/01/2019 09:27

Have you tried any pull on style nappies? (I think pampers do size 3 pull on). I've used them for my son at night time from a young age as I found they didn't leak like 'normal' nappies.

Cardiffclare88 · 13/01/2019 10:32

@fieldofwheat, will have a look at pull up styles at the shop late, thank you-I’d assumed those were for much bigger babies. Dd is only 7 weeks but poos are much bigger since the 6 week growth spurt Blush

Aldi’s were good for us 1 and 2, but awful after that. In the end we found Sainsbury’s were the best and been on them ever since. Been amazing to be fair, no leaks at night and very few problems up the back- only a couple of times when he’s stored his pooh up for two/three days - and he’s on solids so that’s a lot of pooh! From what I’ve read on here though different babies suit different nappies. Asda’s were truly awful for us, but I’ve heard some people say they’re great. It’s really a case of trying them all, but I’d give Sainsbury’s a go- I’ve heard lots of people on here say they worked for them

Hi OP. Just noticed in my local Tesco that Pampers Nappy pants are on offer at the mo....

Hope you find some that work Smile
