Going back to work - worries

So I'm going back to work in three weeks when ds is seven months for financial reasons. I was only with it and happy but I'm starting to feel very anxious about what will happen.
The plan was dp was having baby three days and then working ft but in four days, but Ds now is going to a childminder on a Monday (who I'm very happy with). The problem is ds screams when with dp the whole time but dosnt do this for others like his nanna or aunties. I don't know why.
We are also in the process of doing up our home , bought it and needed everything. It's going okay but exhausting with baby as I'm doing all work myself due to costs eg painting etc.
Is it normal to feel anxious? How will I get time to juggle work and house and actually spending good time with D's? Any advice would be appreciated!

It’s definitely normal to feel anxious. I was really worried in the run up to returning to work but once I started and saw that DD was happy with the childminder I felt much better and quite enjoy having something for me.
I still feel guilty at not seeing so much of DD but I make sure the time I have with her after work before she goes to bed I just focus on her; playing and having quality time which makes me feel I’ve had some good time with her each day.

Anxious is normal. Try not to let DS see how much it affects you. DS1 cried for the first two days (11months) and then settled but some DC take longer. Do enjoy having adult conversations etc at work and don’t feel guilty about it. You’re doing the best for your family (which may not be the same as someone else’s best!).
