Has anyone had any luck introducing a dummy at 13 months?

I'm still breastfeeding my DS but really want to stop especially as I'm expecting no2 this year and would like to prepare for them.

The only problem is that we're about to move, so we've stopped trying to get DS into a sleep routine as he's going to be unsettled and it'll be good to start fresh next week anyway once that's happened, but I can't cope with being a dummy for him anymore.

Is it possible? Or should I just give up and hope he learns to settle by himself as we sleep train him?

Advice from dentists an HV is to eat rid of dummies at 1 so I’m not sure if it’s a great idea.

I really wouldn't introduce a dummy at this age. Just begin sleep training once you've moved and settled.

My DS had a dummy until about 3 months then lost interest and didn’t seem to want it anymore. He was always a bad sleeper after that tho and would need a bottle overnight to settle him. I gave him a dummy with bongela on it when he was miserable and teething when he was just over 1 and he loved it. Has had one for bedtime and nap time ever since. It definitely helped his sleep. Haven’t tried getting it off him yet tho! I may still live to regret it. 😂
