Bedwetting

Has anyone any different tips out there for bedwetting. My seven year old still wees almost every single night. We've done all the usual things, waking him, not waking him, drinking lots in the day, no drinks after 6, praising dry nights, we don't make a fuss if he wets so not to get him anxious, star charts, monetary rewards, etc. Think it's time to take him to the doctors but not sure if bedwetting alarms or medication are the answer. It's despairing now - any good suggestions, please

Your school nurse should be able to helpas they run the clinics. They don't offer alarms or medication until you have tried other things & reported back - & just attending clinic can focus their minds.

Have you tried the ERIC site? I used to find it helpful when DS was like this (also at age 7 but dry within 3 months of clinic!!)

I think it's worth going to the doctors just to rule out any sort of physical reason for it.
Otherwise I honestly believe it all happens in good time.

dp told me he did this until he was 9, was made to hand wash all his bedding in the bath and somehow it made him stop. don't know whether i'd feel happy letting my children do that if they're still wetting the bed at that age.
