When to stop using iCandy carrycot

Hi

When did people stop using their prams carrycot?

I have a three month old and, although he hasn't outgrown the carrycot, I think he would be happier in the pushchair attachment of the iCandy as he doesn't like lying down when he's awake. He likes to look around and can't when he's in the carrycot. When I have him in the car seat on the chassis he loves it but I don't like to do this for too long.

I know babies need to lie on their backs for the first six months as much as possible - is the pushchair not suitable yet?

Can you lie the pushchair part flat? I moved my dd at 5 months and just had the seat reclined

6 months for all 3 of mine.

We have the iCandy Peach and moved ours in at about 4 months as he was bored and screaming in the carrycot. It does lie pretty flat on the lowest setting. Since about 5/6 months he's been on the medium setting, not reclined fully but not sat up fully like in a buggy. You can always recline it for naps etc. A degree of head control will be needed if he's not flat though.

4-5 months for both our kids. The chair can be pretty flat and we didn’t leave them for hours at a time

If they are sleeping in it for long periods then 6 months, but the seat but lays flat so it’s fine to swap before then. My icandy pushchair attachment said it was suitable from newborn on the specification: but not all do (some are 6 months) so it’s worth checking the website x

Around 3 months for DD1 as she hated lying down when awake and wanted to look round.

I did keep the seat tilted back, so she wasn't properly sat up.
