Being told what to do with your child by the in laws ?

Is it normal for you to visit your in laws and they criticise or have an opinion on everything you are doing...

And your OH needs to support you and tell his parents to 'keep the peace' with you both, not the other way round.

The only ‘rights’ they have are to keep you sweet by being nice to you so that you don’t say screw you and go no contact with them...

I think they have been pretty difficult to deal with but now I have put some of this out I think I know that I’m doing the right thing by not spending too much time with them

Yes but I had to look into it after they started saying that and this charity told me they don’t have any rights ..

But this lot seem to think they do and it’s a concern that they do Keep pushing boundaries .

Eg saw them 4 times between October and December , the last time being Christmas. Not enough for ILs who are currently staging some sort of ‘ silent ‘ attack’s on OH because we didn’t see them when they said they wanted to ...

It was really bad before as my MIL used to text me want to know what I was going everyday ..and send her pics
This soon stopped as I told DH o felt like I was getting stalked ....

Wow, you have far worse problems with them than I thought at the start of the thread. Having read your updates I don't think you are at all unreasonable to want to spend much less time with them, not at all. They sound horrendous.
