I think Buckwheat Flour is something like Farine de Sarassin, and Sour Cream is Creme Epaisse. I can't spell in French though, so take no responsibility for the spellings!

Creme Fraiche here (in Belgium) is Fresh Cream - not what we would call Creme Fraiche which is slightly soured.

I am not sure if I am being helpful!

Thanks Tanzie - that gives me something to go on.

Buckwheat flour is farine de sarrasin and soured cream is creme fraiche, the French version is a bit sour.

Can anyone tell me where I can buy buckwheat flour? We enjoyed pancakes in Brittany last month, my mother bought me a recipe book, but I forgot to buy buckwheat flour in France.

Sainsbury have it in their special selection range i'm pretty sure.
