Hi. Anyone use tots bots fluffles? These seem like quite a good option for me. Are they very bulky and what wrap works well with these? Thanks

Hi, yes they are very bulky, as in the most bulky cloth nappy I have seen! They do squash down a bit after a few washes though. A motherease airflow is a good wrap with these as it contains the "bulk" well and lets you adjust waist and thigh sizes seperatly. Bambineo are bringing out their Teddy nappy soon, I think it's not as bulky as a Fluffle but the same idea. They are due out in the next few weeks so it may be worth waiting for these

nappyzone · 27/06/2007 09:06

huge - big cute factor if your into the huge fluffy look!

yummymummy06 · 27/06/2007 09:41

Not into the big fluffy look, want something slim fitting!

tots bots bamboozles much slimmer fit and work well with motherease wraps. However, take ages to dry!

nappyzone · 27/06/2007 09:50

bambineos very similar to bamboozles but cheaper. nice and slim and cute and cheaper - did i mention cheaper lol! As bamboo do take slightly longer to drt but worth the extra effort.

curlywurlycremeegg · 27/06/2007 09:52

were you looking at the fluffles because you wanted a quick drying nappy?

yummymummy06 · 27/06/2007 09:59

yes, looked at them as wanted a quick drying nappy and something absorbant. I have some sandy's coming. I am currently using Kushies and need to get some size 2 now but want to try something different.

i love my fluffles- but i only use them overnight boosted with a muslin, bamboozles in the day. They are chunky but it doesn't bother me overnight!

nearlythere · 27/06/2007 10:01

i mean it doesn't bother dd- my last post sounds like i wear them

bohemianbint · 27/06/2007 10:04

I did use these breifly but then switched to prefolds which are the best thing I've ever used!

curlywurlycremeegg · 27/06/2007 10:19

how about a pocket nappy with a hemp or bamboo insert? the outer would dry quickly and just buy a few extre inserts to compensate for drying time?

nappyzone · 27/06/2007 12:11

yeye! pockets - i was dyign to suggest a pocket but resisted so as not to be biased but YEAH POCKETS ROCK!!!! loads of pockets are slim fitting and i easily get them under my sons clothing as easily as a sposie.

yummymummy06 · 27/06/2007 13:35

what pockets then? I love the swaddlebees!!

tassis · 27/06/2007 13:38

i didn't think they were any bulkier than totsbots and they're so fluffy

the best thing is they're dry in absolutely no time at all...a couple of hours on a heated towel rail or overnight on a rack

dd is almost out of her size 1s and I really don't need any size 2s so will miss them

motherease wraps work well with them

ProfYaffle · 27/06/2007 13:38

I've got Fluffles and have had a problem with the poppers coming off in the wash. If you do get them, get the nippa variety.

Sazisi · 27/06/2007 15:43

I got 2 new popper Fluffles a few days ago, and I'm not impressed. The poppers have been falling off already, one of the seams isn't sewn properly, and they are way bulkier than they were originally

S'disappointing because I've had some Fluffle nippas for nearly 2 years and love them: they fit both my babies really well (smallish baby and a toddler), and are nice &
comfy.

GogoTheSmall · 27/06/2007 15:54

I just tried fluffles and I really like them... they are bulky but not any more than a folded terry nappy. They fit into Tots Bots, Motherease and Nature Babies wraps really well (and I'm using size 2 nippa folded down on my 14 week old dd). I don't have a tumble drier so I wanted them because of the quick dry factor. Plus they look cute and they're sooo soft - my dd seems to like them better than Tots Bots originals. She certainly complains less when I put them on!

Like the sound of Bambineo Teddy nappies though, will watch out for those

anchovies · 27/06/2007 16:07

I like my nippa fluffles, prefer bamboo nappies overall for absorbance but the fluffles are my standby nappy for when I've forgotten to wash. Oh and they are very soft if you don't mind microfibre. Don't find the nippa ones too bulky but they are the biggest of all the nappies I have (but also the squashiest IYKWIM!)

Flame · 27/06/2007 16:07

I would agree with the bambineo teddies being the better bet (only velcro to begin with though).

A double boostered quick flip light is great - its slim across the bum and hips, but oodles of layers in the middle where you need them. Get double the amount of inners to outers and they are a fast drying option.

ProfYaffle · 27/06/2007 16:58

Sazisi - send it back. Tots Bots replaced mine although the poppers then fell off the new ones but only the ones which hold the booster in rather than the ones that affect the fit so I couldn't be bothered to get them replaced again.

theUrbanDryad · 27/06/2007 17:09

fluffles rock! i use these and Bumbles with a Motherease wrap, and they're great. agree with others about getting the Nippa ones though. i don't find it difficult getting them under clothes and agree they dry very quickly!

nappyzone · 27/06/2007 19:52

Pockets - fuzzi bunz are fool proof but sized but the medium lasts well if your in that range and they have some nice prints too new out. Wonderoos are fine too but not the slimmest but are birth to potty and cheaper - i get along well with these well. Drybees and happy heinys are as slim as a fuzzi but come in nicer prints to for washing day variety and bumgenius are a birth to potty to and are v slim but a toot more pricey but very good and my current fave along with fuzzi bunz. Swaddlebees are v slim fitting but dont suit all babies as some leak if not the ideal shape like my boy but he has grown into them now. Peapods are working well for me but ar new so dont know how anyone else is faring with them but they are nice and reasonably priced and working so thats all that counts at the moment. Thats me all pocketed out now .

rumple · 18/07/2007 00:04

I'm hoping to use fluffles when i buy size 2. I live in a flat and my size 1 bamboozles are taking a long time to dry inside.
Worried that the man made fibres might give her a rash. What's people's experience with fluffles - OK on babies skin?

hippopowell · 18/07/2007 07:09

Hi,
I used size 1 fluffles on my dd from about 6 weeks. Never had a problem with her skin. Great nappy!!

hippopowell · 18/07/2007 07:49

We lived in a flat at the time, & they were perfect as they dried so quickly. With limited space & a baby it really helped not having a drying rack up most of the time.
