Any sleep aids that aren't Ewan!

Hello. My 5 month old bab is just starting to get into a sleep routine and has also started (mostly) sleeping in the side-sleeper rather than in bed with us. I'm hoping to move him to his own room in a month or so but think it'll be easier if I can put something that will make noises in with him - he sleeps best when we're in the room with him, making breathing/snoring/parping noises etc. Grin
Recent reviews of Ewan the dream sheep sound like the quality of Ewans has dropped over the last couple of years and people are having issues with faulty sheep. Does anyone use something similar that they can recommend instead?

Get a Google home. They are all in the sales at the moment and just ask it to play white noise or the radio. It will play other Hz as well so you might find you LO sleeps better with pink noise for example

I just downloaded an app on my iPad to play white noise all night. I bought Ewan and Ollie but now never use them :)

It would be best to try YouTube white noise for babies to see if it has any effect on your child. If it does you'll know it's worth buying the sleep aid. I have Ollie the owl for my 7 week old and some days it has truly been a god send, although other days my LO is not bothered if he has him on or not. It plays white noise, heartbeat, rain and a lullaby. Heartbeat and white noise are my DS's favourites to sleep to.

I have a Bluetooth speaker that we either play something from our phone on an app (android "baby sleep" app) or iPod (Can't remember which app but prefer the android one). Leave it on a timer and the android one slowly decreases it's volume when finishing up.
We've used it since dd was born for naps and night time it's been brilliant. Since we already had the speaker it saved us pennies too.

We have a MyHummy. Good thing about it is it's washable and can be controlled via Bluetooth on a phone app

My LO loves her slumber buddy hippo, I put the changing colour stars on and 45 minutes if white noise and she is happy lying there until she goes to sleep. Plays other sounds too and you can vary the length of time - good luck!

You can buy white noise boxes online (Amazon) for £20 ish. Most will make 9ish different sounds from white noise through to bird song. My 4yo has one that's set on Ocean waves. My 18mo it's still on white noise. You can set them to go off after a certain amount of time or to stay on all night.

We also use the lullaby music on them at bedtime.

My DS had Eddie the Elephant. He loves it. It has lullaby music or white noise and also acts as a nightlight

We have a MyHummy which is great, I use it for naps even if the baby isn’t! There are some good free apps you can download too but they seem to eat my phone battery.
