Nappies for wriggly baby

My 8 month old baby is so wriggly now. He won’t lie on his back and gets pretty furious about having his clothes of nappy fiddled with: thinks he is far too busy to be held up in that way!

Is 8 months too young to go to pull-ups? Are these any better?

Is this wriggling likely to be a phase or is that it now?

I had been using reusable nappies (Imse Vimse two part) but getting them on him is now nigh on impossible.

Does anyone have recommendations for reusable nappies that are easy to get on a wriggly baby!?

Thanks!

The nappy isn't the problem, you just need to hold the child down by any means necessary and hope you have enough time to wipe, cream and strap a nappy on Grin

Yy unfortunately a new technique is the only way - sometimes mine will lie down and then other's will fight and kick usually when covered n poo and I haven't used a mat 😂

Hehe, fantastic! Thanks both!

At the moment my “technique” is to have him on his tummy, with some new toy so he doesn’t crawl off instantly, and change him backwards before reclothing him while he flails around kicking and screaming. Failing that, I change him when he’s sitting down with about the same degree of success...

Mine has been in pull ups since he could roll over - wriggly, big and very strong little boy! I think they do them as small as a size 3.

I pull his feet through the holes whilst he's on his back, push it up to his knees, lift him on to his feet, and then pull it up. Easy.

Although now hes got to the stage when he tries to "help"...

I have more success if I give DD something she isn't usually allowed while I change her, or a toy she hasn't seen for a while. I use two part cloth nappies or terries so it's sometimes a battle of wills. Oh for the days before they roll and climb.....
