Baby hates pram

Hi all,

My DS is 4 months and has never been a massive fan of the pram since birth. Now he is older he is way too nosey to be laying flat. So I thought I would try him in the car seat part of our travel system. Well. He cried HYSTERICALLY the whole time he was in there. Absolutely did not give up and got so stressed out. This hasn't been a one off either :( I love carrying him in a carrier don't get me wrong but I can't help but feel envious of these babies being pushed around in their prams!

Has anyone had experience of this? Have the babies ever grown out of it? I should say as well the seat faces me so he can see me but doesn't help.

I put my DS straight into a buggy as soon as he could hold his head up. Maybe he wants to be forward facing so he can see everything?

I found that when my lo got grouchy in the pram putting the hood thing down settled him as he got a little bit bigger, I guess as he could see a bit more of what was going on rather than staring at nothing

Reading this has just brought back all those memories about DD who hated the pram. One very vivid one of me pushing the pram home with DH carring her.

After that we turned it into the forward facing pushchair. Which she would tolerate more. I know there is a trend for these parent facing ones but she was so nosey I think she would have hated that to.

I also had to carry her in the sling for a while until she would tolerate it more. To be honest it's nice having a warm baby in a sling at this time of year.

We sat dd up using a car seat head rest at about 8 weeks because she hated lying flat. Turns it around at around 6 months as she liked to see where we were going rather than looking at my face. Try different arrangements, see what works.

Mine hated the pram until he could sit up in it at 6 months. We just used the sling but kept trying periodically. Now at 8 months he loves it.
