HI myjobismum. Just about to cry - nightmare day with DS. he threw up three times in cot last night (last time was 3am -ouch. I'm 5 weeks pregnant and shattered enough). All OK until 3.30pm today whe he did it again all over me, down my legs, in my hands and all over cream carpet.
Tomorrow's supposed to be his last day at nursery before we move to Germany in August. I was hoping to go to Tesco and get some BtB pants for him but looks as though I'll be nurse for the day.
My poor little bear...My ear is glued to his monitor. Used to switch it off but heard those unmistakeable "coughs" last night and realised he'd been badly sick.

Also started potty training ds this week... definitely not for the faint hearted, but relieved others here having similar experiences; lots of pee in potty but also in pants... i can see it taking all summer at this rate.
It's very hard not to make a big deal out of it all as i can see ds being a bit anxious about it all.. but sometimes he refuses to use potty when asked and then 5 mins later wets pants... i now just tell him to sit on potty, if he doesn't choose to i say nothing and just ask again later. Patience, patience, patience
Currently have noddy and thomas train pants on go, plus generic cheapy ones in case of emergency!

Ebay have plenty of bob the builder pants (new ones), mostly on buy it now.

It saves a trip to the shops and if ds is ill it's probably best to postpone the kick-off of toilet training

Hi myjobismum,

I've had a dreadful day. Got DS up late (he didn't go to bed until 9pm last night as he was burning up). I just couldn't get his temperature down this morning so took him to doctors. Covered in rash by this point and scorching too, the rash disappeared when pressed...then some appeared on neck that didn't. Cue ambulance to children's hospital and a whole day there. Meningitis checks and all sorts.
Only got home a little while back. I'm shattered and emotionally drained as it's too early to say to people "Hey I'm pregnant and not coping here".
Anyhoo, the doctors got his temperature from 39 down to 37 and he's sleeping now. It was a nasty virus that he's been struggling to beat.
I REALLY feel like crying now.

x
