Potty...now what?

My DD is just 2, over the last month she’s been pulling at her nappies etc, so bought a potty and have been encouraging her to sit on it when I go to the loo.
We hadn’t been really regularly trying because she got a bit stressed if we made her sit on all the time so we just do it sort of when she’s up for it.
This evening, first wee on the potty!
That’s just great and everything but what the frick do I do now to keep the momentum going?
Apologies if I sound like a total dumbass. Obviously I’m a bit of a novice parent. She’s my first and I’ve never been around children so I’ve never had to do this bit before!

the way we did it/are doing it :) :

make a big fuss, and give her a smartie or 2. do this every time she does a wee (you could try encouraging her by asking if she needs to go). if she does a poo, give her 4 smarties and let her ring a bell.

Oh ringing a bell is a really good idea.
We did make a massive fuss of her when she did it but I didn’t think of smartie rewards!
Hopefully she won’t need to pee every time she has a smartie Grin

Are you going totally nappyless right away? Are you taking her to the potty every hour or waiting until she asks to go?? Are you keeping the potty in the bathroom or having it everywhere she goes?

i am taking her every hour, and when she asks to go. i am going to be using these, ( i hope i linked the right ones!) as i feel they are more cost effective and we made a big deal of them being big girl pants, as they look like regular pants. we also let her pick what design she wanted. i put her in a pair once she had been dry for 1 day. i am keeping the potty in the bathroom.

Dry nights can come much later - DD was 5 when she finally went dry (having potty trained in the day at 2.5). There's a hormone they need to produce to be dry at night which suppresses urine production; if your DD isn't producing it, she won't be dry - it isn't a choice. I kept DD in nappies until she was dry; I really didn't want to be changing sheets several times a night!

sorry, i meant to include what the previous poster said. we are only using the ones i linked during the day x

Thank you both for your help. She’s suddenly really gone off it and doesn’t want to sit on anymore so I’m just going to let her go to it again when she’s ready but at least I have some idea of what to aim for now.
Thanks again
