If you go to your local Connexions or your Learning and Skills Council local office, they will almost certainly have either a book or a software programme which enables you to search by course. Many many moons ago I used to help out at a one-stop-shop Careers Advice place designed specifically for adult learners, and I remember using something which enabled me to search by course, and not by place of learning.

Sorry for the ambiguity!!!

Problem is Cumbria doesn't really have any colleges (ST MArtins cover part of it and a couple of small colleges but thats it) so I either have to go over the border or Lancashire/Manchester /Liverpool/Yorkshire so it makes it harder to search!

There used to be a thing called the Lifetime Training website, government funded, that all training providers can put their details on. BUT in April all the funding changed so I don't know what its called, but whoever now runs it is part of the new North West Business Link and they will be able to give you the website details. Then you just type in your course or search on types of courses and it brings up all the providers in the north west, or whatever region you specify.
Business link number is 0845 600 9006. Good Luck.
