Any suggestions which are best as a stocking filler? I was drawn to the chunky crayola ones but i supect he may drop them or eat them...

I know they do hand grip ones are they better by experience?

I've been looking at the crayola chunky ones too. Wilko have some chunky ones too, but my local one doesn't stock them.

I think they should be ok, much harder to snap than regular crayons so should be safe enough..

This sort of thing is good for littlies (under supervision)

We’ve got ordinary crayola ones (he’s 15 months). He does eat them a bit, but can also hold and scribble with them fine. Chunky might be trickier to bite bits off, I guess!

We had some nice chunky ones from Early Learning Centre around this age. My DD could use with supervision which you'd want to do anyway!

Stabilo Woody pencils are fab at this age (nice and chunky) and my 4 year old still likes using them. They seem to wipe off most things too, unlike wax crayon!

I second the Stabilo Woody ones. Much longer lasting (being wood, they don't snap very easily) & they will do until your DS is older, too. DD still uses hers quite often, she's 6. Nice range of colours. We got the basic set & were so impressed we got the rest of the range.
