Aggression on TV

The BBC news is on in the next room as I speak, dealing with the current views on Brexit. My concern is the harm the many loud and agitated discussions that have been happening lately may be having on babies and young children without us even realising - they are not to know that it is merely people putting their opinion across. What do others think?
(Think I'll post this on Gransnet as well - will be interesting to see what an older generation's views are).

Put on cartoons or something for your kids

I’ve never watched the news whilst my children are there and the eldest is 12 now! In terms of screens/media exposure though I think brexit debates would be the least of my worries.

Turn your tv off if it’s concerning you

There are far worse things on the news.

Hmmm, I think if your child's watching with agitated discussions the best thing is to move on to other channel or explain it to them what is good so-called supervision.
