Where does the tooth fairy live?

DD has asked this, and I have no idea how to answer. Anyone know, or is it down to a Mum's vivid imagination to conjure up an answer?

Toothfairy land, they use the teeth to build the houses and the fairy queen's palace. Well that's what my DD thinks as she read it in a book I gave her when her first tooth fell out.

3littlefrogs · 21/06/2007 22:47

fairyland of course.

Tortington · 21/06/2007 22:48

in the castle which is made from the teeth - which is why they collect them

of course

who knows? who has seen her? no-one?

Pah, kids! expect us to know everything...

TippiHedren · 21/06/2007 22:49

Farking big castle!

cece · 21/06/2007 22:49

Fairyland. They collect the teeth to build the firy castles.

If you sniff the money the next day you can still smell the fairies perfume

Earlybird · 21/06/2007 22:50

Fairyland - can't believe I didn't know that!

DD has written a long note requesting to keep her tooth. So, if the fairy grants her wish, there will be one less tooth available to build palaces and houses!

Fairy gets tooth - child gets money.

fairy not get tooth - child not get money

ChasingSquirrels · 21/06/2007 23:01

ds1 gas decided that they turn the teeth into the £'s - "how else did you think they get the money mummy, STEAL IT?"

ChasingSquirrels · 21/06/2007 23:02

has decided obviously not gas

She lives in fairyland with the fishfairy and the pottyfairy!

(Ds1's fish died and he was so distraught that we told him the fishfairy had come and taken it to fairyland in return for a present.

He got Kerplunk.

Ironically.)

Ds2 has outgrown the potty but still wants it so the pottyfairy took it to fairyland in return for a present.

He has asked her for a 'huuuuuuge fire engine.' He is 2.5yrs!

Someone gave dd one of those odd little china boxes for saving baby teeth. So, she wants to keep her teeth to in the box. Hence, her request.

cat64 - lol. It's true - I'm completely unqualified to be a mum. This basic lack of knowledge is only the tip of the iceberg I'm afraid.

I told mine (and DD 8yrs still believes me!) that the toothfairy lives next door to Father Christmas's summer holiday home and the Easter Bunnie's house.

This also made sense to DS (now 13) who gave all his dummies to Father Christmas in his stocking in return for presents. I told him Father Christmas would pass the dummies on to the toothfairy and she would be really pleased with him. He never asked for a dummy again and he was 2 and a half.

Wish I hadn't let DD suck her thumb now - you can't give thumbs to Father Christmas!

wishingfourgotone · 23/06/2007 16:13

Have you not watched Terry Pratchetts The Hogfather!

Elibean · 23/06/2007 18:57

I told mine, truthfully, that I don't know.

She wants to BE the tooth fairy when she grows up

lucykate · 23/06/2007 19:00

we saw the tooth fairy today actually. a farm park near us had a fairy trail today and the tooth fairy was doing face painting

wheresthehamster · 23/06/2007 19:02

I think ours lived in NeverNeverLand because she was a friend of Tinkerbell.

And our teeth were needed to make new stars in the sky.
