My ds (2.9) has been out of nappies (apart from sleep times) for about a month. He has taken to it really well and within 5 days was telling me that he needed to got ot the loo and we haven't had a accident in ages. Anyway, this week at nursery (he goes two days a week) he has been refussing to go on the toilet or potty and sawing his wee up until h has a nappy on for his afternoon sleep. He doesn't do thi at home and nursery are wondering if he feels a little bit shy or uncomfortable going when there are lots o other children around.

I am not unduly worried as he is absolutly fine at home or when we are out and about but i just wondered if anyone else has experienced this.

Thanks

Hi. DS and DT's all refused to use the toilet facilities at kindergarten (DS was 2.7 and DT's were 2.10 when they started). Kindergarten is from 9 - 12 and they'd prefer to wait until they got home.

As they became more confident, they started to use the toilet facilities with the teaching assistant's help and just this week one of the DT's proudly announced that she 'went all on my own'It's only taken her since October to achieve this

I suggest you just let him be, he'll do it in his own time.
