If you use audiobooks/nursery rhymes for your toddler where do you get them from?

DC1 loves reading books with us, she also loves watching nursery rhymes on YouTube (now there's a rabbit hole I wish I had never fallen down Shock )

I dont really like relying on YouTube for the nursery rhymes and for some reason she refuses to do them just me and her. She started clearly learning language very quickly from the YouTube stuff but it's very American and some of the references are a bit off. She's quite an independent child and I think would like to lie/sit and listen to stories on her own as well as the books we read her.

My mum has said that at the same age she used to put a tape of songs/nursery rhymes or stories on to listen to as we fell asleep. I do actually remember this at a later age and have very fond memories of nursery rhyme tapes and as we got older things like Rold Dahl, Michael Morpergo, Little Woman, Animals of Farthing wood, Noel Streatfield etc

Thing is we don't have a CD player, I have a spare tablet that came free with a phone deal. I've no idea where to start looking for English based preschool aged audio books and nursery rhymes that can be played on a tablet without adverts etc. I don't mind paying!

Any suggestions?

Have you tried googling 'audio books'?

Google audio book plus the title of a good book.

Mine love Julia Donaldson (as they all do) so audiobook plus gruffalo/stick man/room on the broom on YouTube gets us through many car journeys!

We've got some from audible, i believe some libraries have an audio book borrowing service too

We bought a cd played just for my son to listen to at bedtime. If it finishes before He’s asleep he can press play again. I think the tablet in his bedroom would be too much temptation!!
We have the julia Donaldson box set. The book people always have sets for very cheap.
