Teething

Hi, my son almost 19 weeks seems to be teething. Usual signs lots of dribble, hand in mouth, gums are hard and during the night quite uncomfortable.
I'm using the Nelsons crystals but was wondering how many of you had used the Amber bracelets, thinking about an anklet as he's young.
Do you rate them and how old was your little one when they used it. Thank you x

I’ve not used them now but I’m sure someone will be along soon who has Smile

I've heard from mums at my baby group that they swear by them.

Ive personally had most success from Ashton & Parsons teething powder from Asda. This worked like a charm for my DD! Xx

Not tried them, but I do see lots of babies with them.
We use Anbesol liquid which is amazing stuff IMO. DD goes all heavy lidded and happy when I do it for her.

Hi never used them and heard varying reports I second the pp who suggested Ashton & Parsons teething powder - brilliant stuff.

Just use anbesol and calpol if he's in pain.

Welshmum16 · 08/11/2018 09:08

Never used them but seen some mums with them that swear by them,

We used calpol at night when he was really bad, my sons first tooth came through at 6weeks he had them all before he was 2 and most would come in pairs :(

I tried Ashton & parsons powder but found it too fiddly for my son.

I then found out about anbesol and have never looked at anything else, it's an immediate releasing for him, it's also for adults I used myself one day when my wisdom tooth was playing up and it was brill numbed the gum and stopped all pain

Some parents swear by the amber beads, but it is worth bearing in mind there is no scientific evidence to them actually working. We personally stick to anbesol, Calpol, teething powder but there is no harm in trying an anklet if you want to. You will get mixed reviews :)

Thanks everyone, the powders are great although the Nelsons ones are every two hours, if I get one il report back if I see any differences x
