Anyone else have a hair pulling toddler

Hi everyone,

My DS is 15months and he is a hair puller and i just don't seem to be able to shake it. He used to bite got that stopped but cannot get anywhere with his hair pulling

I've just come back from a toddler group after a bad run. They had a big tent out that all the kids wanted to go in. My DS included, I had to battle to keep him out of it as I was worried about him pulling hair. When he was in by himself they came in to so I tried to get him out but not always in time. Everyone at group is lovely and understanding.

I spend my whole time at group inches away from DS so I can catch his hands. Everyone is sat around chatting watching their DC playing lovely and I feel like a helicopter.

At the moment if he pulls I say ah no take him away from the situation and ignore if he makes a fuss. He is aware that he is being told off but still goes back.

His main weaknesses are excitement and if anyone is lying on the floor.

Sorry for the long post I'm just getting so down about it

If he pulls other kids hair let them pull his back

Yes literally just had to pull my 18 month old off my 6 year old a minute ago. She's constantly pulling her hair I feel so sorry for her (6yo) and don't know how to stop it.

They're not really hair pulling back types. Even the one who usually pushes my DS over lots didn't pull back

Reading with interest as my DS is the same. He is only 12 months and this has been a problem since he became mobile. At the moment we say no firmly and move him away - it is water off a ducks back to him but then I think he is too young to get cause and effect.
