Quick ideas for entertaining toddler

Hi, I'm after ideas for quick activities for my 21month DD. Things that don't take much setting up or clearing up afterwards. Just for days when I'm feeling particularly tired or not well (I'm 6 months pregnant) and need 10 mins respite!

Get loads of stuffed toys, sit them round in a circle, give her a toy tea set and some play food and she can have a picnic with them. Used to entertain my DD for at least half an hour :)

Playdoh, water in sink with toy animals, jigsaws which you can usually get cheap at charity shop, pop up tent, big roll of paper and crayons.

Take cushions of chair and use blanket make den. Give them empty boxes to play with. Anything with bits that they can post things through so even a box with slot in.

Doctors set. Get one with lots of bits in as they take longer to use all the bits. Get toddler to look after you while you mumsnet on the sofa.

I followed the poet hollie mcnish and taught DD to give a foot massage at the end. Fortunately she never needed an actual hospital visit or she would have been very confused Grin

Stickers and paper. You need the type that are easy to peel off - places like Poundland are going for those. Toddler will happily sit and just randomly stick the stickers in a bizarre pattern.

Thanks for the ideas (keep them coming!) Some we do already - she enjoys jigsaws but I need to get some harder ones. I think she'd also enjoy the tea with animals but we have no tea set so might have to improvise! Also no doctors set but not sure if she's too young to use that? Although if the doctor is giving foot massages I'm sure I could teach her 😂

Home bargains do a cheap tea set

We also used to hide lots of mini bugs about the room & do a bug hunt with a net. So little rubber spiders/plastic frogs etc.

Asda normally have a tea set too. Trains occupy mine for ages. Until they want me to join in too 😕
