I'm in a bit of a dilemma.
I'm currently living with my partner, in a three bedroomed house, he has his two children every other week end, but sometimes they choose to stay at their grand parents house.
I know a baby will stay in their parents room for 6 months or more, but my partner I not prepared to move his two children into the same, large room, and give the baby the tiny, if box room which will just fit a bed in.
He is wanting to buy a new house, but we have only just moved into this one, so it's impossible.
What should I say to him?

Are you pregnant? TTC?

Honestly, if the box room fits a cot, use that room for sleep after 6 months. Could you add storage in the big room and make it a playroom when the older kids aren’t there?

Most children are in a cot for around 2 years. If you’ve not conceived yet you’ve got 3.5 years before you need to move.

Im pregnant now, I thought I was about 4-5 weeks but when I went doctors she thinks I'm a lot further on than that.

The room would probably just fit a cot in it that's it, or a small kids bed, that's what is in it atm and you can just walk around it

How old are his dc?

Realistically it’ll be a year at least until you need to think about needing to move to it baby into its own room and even then you could keep your baby in with you longer. The other option is for baby and stepchild to “share” a room and baby sleeps in travel cot in your room when your step child is there; it’s not ideal but possible if you can’t move

3 and 6
