So it's a 6 year olds party on a Sunday, the party is a 20 mins drive from our house so won't get back till late and then he will need shower and get ready for bed etc, My son is in bed by 7:30 on week nights, I wouldn't mind if it was a fri or sat but does anyone else think a party finishing at 7:45 on a Sunday is too late ?

@Nothisispatrick I've already said that I am taking him I just find it a very odd time obviously I wouldn't let him miss out it's just a bit inconvenient

Can't see the problem with it tbh. It's not that late, and at least it leaves the rest of your Sunday free. I like parties that are held at mealtimes, always thought it was odd for them to have a party tea at 3/4pm!

I think it’s too late for a 6yo, and honestly it’s too late for me to be out too on a Sunday! Sundays are family days for us, and Sunday evenings are for dinner, Bath, bed, getting ready for the week ahead. For a child’s birthday I’d decline but send in a birthday present the next day (nothing major, just something to mark the day and apologise for being lame).

I think its fine. Many soft play type places only allow private hire after regular closing hours, so maybe its related to that.

Wouldn't really bother me as a one-off.

7.45 isn't that late.

My kids' Beavers/Rainbows finished at 7pm and Cubs/Brownies at 8.
