My DS has a settling in session tomorrow with his childminder at 8am. Hes currently passed out on me after having the jab at 11am. Has been lethagic since 3pm and is refusing to eat, is hot and spaced out Confused I'm wondering whether its likely he will be able to go

We were told by the nurse that the symptoms last around 24 hours (rash could come out a couple of weeks after the jabs). My little one was fine, a bit hot and bothered in the afternoon but right as rain the next day

Smurfy23 · 10/10/2018 22:18

Probably a day or two. Dd was awful with the ones when she was tiny so I was geared up for the worst but she was fine- a bit mopey the next day but nearly back To her old self the next day

Ours lasted bloody ages, sorry - he got every symptom possible and it trailed on for weeks

Well I'm still trying to get DS to sleep since 7.30pm....hes had 2x doses of calpol, is sweating like a pig and wont sleep alone for more than 10min....Aargh. He's got to be up at 6am for this childcare session 😭

Shouldn't be more than a day or so, but as calderdale had sometimes you're unlucky, or they'd caught some real bug that happened to come up shortly after the jab. Sorry! Good luck for the morning - though you might want to knock it back a few days if he's going to be all messed up for it, won't do anyone any favours!

Thanks all. DS didnt get to sleep til 4.30am. He went through two sleep bags and pjs from sweating so much. I am keeping him home. Dont think its fair to add that stress on him today.

Fingers crossed hes better later

Hope it's all worked out Jelly.

Jellybabie3 · 12/10/2018 03:47

Thanks. He started to improve around 4pm today after being really grumpy and sleepy all day so it was the right decision to keep him home. He's been pretty unsettled tonight too though doing a 3 hour stint of sleep then up every 40min since.....fingers crossed he feels back to normal tomorrow. Its so brutal for them Sad

Thank you

Late night commiserations! He’ll be well off sync from last night’s troubles, maybe that’s all it is now. Is he sweating still, or just wriggly and mithering?

Jellybabie3 · 13/10/2018 04:37

Wriggly and grouchy Hmm needs a cuddle back to sleep every time. poor little mite. He napped so well today too....what can you do...?!
