Wanting to buy some Bambineos

I normally use fluffles, but todays weather (and lack of a dryer) has made me realise that I really need a few more. Just 3 or 4. I'm not bothered about the drying time cos lets face it, if my fluffles are struggling there's not much I can do!

I wash my fluffles at 60C, can I wash Bambineos at this?

Can I use my airflow wraps on them ok??
Anything else I should know??

Thanks peeps

You can wash bambineos or any bamboo nappy at up to 60 degrees, anything higher will shrink the fabric. They will work well with an airflow wrap. I know you said you aren't bothered about drying time but even on a good day my bamboo nappies can take twice as long as my cotton ones to dry

But they look so fluffy !!!

they are fluffy but do take a toot longer than cotton ones but if like me you forget you have stuff on the line - 2 days later they are all dry anyway although i tend to fiish mine of with a quick tumble to make em all softly! I used mine with a motherease airflow and they worked well....

I don't find them that long - maybe air is more co-operative here... normally about 50% longer drying time at most.

bamboo quick flips would take less time

nappyzone · 13/06/2007 21:24

oooo the smog up north must slow down our drying time

Flame · 13/06/2007 21:36

Tis the nice sea air

mozzybear · 13/06/2007 21:37

No smog... just lots and lots of rain here

Short of cash so will probably need to wait till have paid car insurance and vet bill.

Thought about getting some bamboo terries as a back up, not sure if DH would go for that though. Would be cheaper though wouldn't it? And they would just be for emergencies essentially.

it has rained all day here - it upsets my whole walking with pram routine - how sad!

mozzybear · 13/06/2007 21:45

Thought it had cleared up a bit this afternoon and put nappies out. An hour or so I was feeding DS and I looked out the window... needless to say, the nappies were wetter than they were when they came out the washer.

i wash my bambineos at 60. they're fine. i've bought a lot as dd2 is a poo machine!

i find it takes about a day and a half here for mine to dry (and i turn mine a few times to hopefully speed things up!)

i also have airflow wraps and fleece wraps and have never had any leaks.

for night time nappies i boost with their own boosters and again dd2 stays dry.

mozzybear · 14/06/2007 09:27

Off the subject, but if anyone cn help...

I have just been collecting my fluffles from the clothes horse and I've noticed one of them is split on one of the seams(Where the fleece mets the microfibre, just below one of the tabs). I can see the elastic. I've only had them 4+ months.

This isn't normal...right? Can I do anything after 4 months?

Call tots bots (the number is on the official tots website) - they should exchange them for new ones.

kreamkrackers · 14/06/2007 09:32

i think it might depend on where you bought them from (sorry not an expert and no experience in this btw). check their policy first and if no look with that try tracking down the fluffles website and email them directly.

maybe set up a new thread with this on?

mozzybear · 14/06/2007 09:33

Thanks both, shall get on to Tots
