Staying home from playgroup

Probably a silly question but DD, 4 months, has had a runny nose and cough for the last few days. I kept her home from swimming, and was going to keep her home from playgroup today to avoid her spreading it to other children. However, she looks much better today and DH thinks I should take her. She does look fine but is still snuffling. Wwyd?

Take her if you want to go. Most people still take their kids to groups if they just have a cold/cough. Temperature and keep them off.

If it's a slight sniffle/clear slightly runny nose I'd take her. If it's green snots , temperature and/or a cough keep her home. Can't stand parents bringing really snotty, obviously ill kids to playgroups !!

Tbh at 4 months playgroup is more for the mum anyway !!

At 4 months, yes, I would. They don’t need to play or interact at that age. The group really is more for you than them. At the risk of there being younger babies there who might be more vulnerable, I’d probably err on the side of being cautious. At 10 months or so, yes, I’d go, but seems silly at that age, just in case.

Thanks. Think I'll keep her home for this one.
