suddenly wetting the bed - what's gone wrong?

DS, who was 3 in June, has been toilet trained since about february and dry through the night pretty much since then too and so we stopped daytime and nighttime nappies at about teh same time and he's been great. I think i can count on one had the number of times I've had to change the bedding because of accidents.

However, the last 3 mornings when i've gone into him, he's wet the bed! When he wakes up, he doesn't get out of bed (never has done) he just talks to himself and I then hear him and go in. I've stressed to him that when he wakes, if he feels the need to do a wee then he must call out for me very loudly but he hasn't ever done that. As I said, up til now, it's not been a problem and quite often he'll have been up 30 mins or so before going to do a wee.

Any advice please on what to do next? Nothing has changed in his diet/drinking habits these last few days. His bedtime routine is still the same. What's going wrong?

Has anything else changed in his life?

This also happened to dd several months ago and she's now four and still wetting regularly. She is often dry if we lift her in the night, but she's just so heavy and a pretty dead weight, but if it gets her through the night......... no drinks after tea-time either. I think she's a bit lazy too. She was dry this morning (I think) and came downstairs before me, but because she had the dry-nights pants on, she just wet them instead of going to the loo!! (Was v cross about that)! I have no idea why she does it esp after a long period of being dry at night shortly after being dry in the daytime!

the only thing Meanbean is that we have told him that I'm pregnant. But we dont mention it everyday, hardly at all in fact.
Also, DH is away at the moment on business (went sunday, back very late tonight). I hadn't thought of that actually. He wont see his dad tonight but after seeing him tomorrow I'll see if the following morning is any different.
Seems strange thoguh as DH goes away quite a bit and this has never happened before.
