Anyone else had a toddler that is refusing to eat

Currently on holiday in Greece and for the past few days my 20 month old toddler has pretty much refused all food. I'm starting to worry now.
Even foods he liked like sandwiches and cereal can't tempt him.
Generally speaking he seems well and his happy playing but he did vomit during the night. I thought he may have an upset tummy but hasn't been sick since and has been in a lovely mood so I just don't know.
He is drinking plenty but the only thing he has eaten today is a few slices of Apple and a biscuit.
I have offered him toast, croissant, cheese, cucumber, yoghurt and fish fingers, potatoes and peas.
My husband and I have given up going for meals as it just ends up too stressful with my son desperate to escape his highchair and making a fuss.
I just don't understand what the issue is. Has anyone had this before?

It could be the new place/change in routine or he's feeling under the weather? My older son did this so much, we stopped worrying about it as we knew it was a temporary thing. Sometimes they do it as eating is the only thing in their environment that they can control.

Ah yes toddlers always try to find a way to ruin the holiday! I’m guessing he might have had a bit of an upset stomach so isn’t feeling too hungry yet? Can you go to a restaurant, take toys/colouring to keep him occupied and chuck some food in front of him but don’t push it if he doesn’t eat. Try that a couple of times and if you’re eating too then I’m guessing he’ll probably follow suit. In the meantime if he’s drinking then I’d give him milk in his cup as at least it has some nutritional value.

Everything is new and exciting, I'm guessing he's also out of routine too.
It's all a bit different so it throws them. There is too much to do rather than sit down and it.
Could you try finger food he could toddle around with. Not ideal but it make take the stress and pressure off and he might more inclined to eat.

Thank you all for your replies. It's very reassuring. I think it's a mixture of everything mentioned.
I think he is feeling a little under the weather and I think he may be testing us as food is the only thing he can control.
I will up his milk and keep offering food. I'll try to stop getting so stressed.
I want to enjoy our first family holiday. Even if it is raining here in Zakynthos!!
