Things to do with a 3 month old

If you have or have had a 3 month old can you give me an idea of things you do with them when you're at home?

Mine is just 3 months, can hold head but can't sit obviously.

I'm just looking to break up the days that we stay at home a bit more. We can walk near our house but there is no where to walk to as such.

Things I do at home with baby when she isn't sleeping:

  1. Give her a bath
  2. Read to her
  3. Go for a walk
  4. Put her under activity gym
  5. Lie her on my bed or play mat with toys around her
  6. Short time in Rock n Play, swing or bouncy seat (I only use these if I need to do something like shower or make food)
  7. Sing nursery rhymes
  8. Tummy time
  9. Time under her mobile/projector
10. Sit in the garden and look around, talk 11. Blow bubbles 12. Chit chat! 13. Sit quietly together in reflection Smile

This seems a long list but some of these things are done within 5 minutes! Any other suggestions of things I can do with her are really welcome.

I have a three month old and that’s pretty impressive list! Only other thing mine likes is lying on her back kicking, especially with “feet finders” on, and I take her feet and start rhythmically kicking her legs if that makes sense!

Also I hold things in front of her while she’s on my lap so she can reach for them with her hand eg her dummy. She really has to concentrate and quite enjoys it.

You could find some baby and toddler groups often run by church's or in church halls. Often called bumps and babies or some toddler groups also have baby mats and toys.

We started some baby classes like baby sensory at about 3 months ( or there's Hartbeeps or lots of other ones do pre-walkers or baby only sessions of music classes - caterpillar music, jiggy wrigglers etc)

You could also start swimming. I didn't until much later and did lessons. But you could just take them to your local pool rather than lessons. Often the baby is free but you pay for yourself. You just get them a neoprene baby wetsuit to keep them warmer.

Honestly?! Just get on with my day and find somewhere safe to say plonk baby between feeds/cuddles/naps/nappy changes. You seriously do not need to do more, relax and enjoy the non-mobile stage, it will not last!

Thank you all for your responses, I'll try to do some of these things with her (and I'll also try to relax a little more!)
