OK - dd is 15 months and she is all of sudden getting really funny about her nappies - she doesn't want to have them put on and tries to take them off. She's quite independent and whereas I don't want to start full on potty training I was wondering if I could make a start with her occasionally sitting on the potty but don't know how to start and when is the best time of day. Any advice?? Thanks

my dd was pottytrained at this age, but that is because she copied off a friends dd, i don't think its too early if you feel your child is ready. leave the potty out for her to use if she knows she needs to, otherwise put her on it after meals and drinks. hth

If you dont want to start full on you could do it for a few hrs till she gets the idea - we did this with my dd and for a month or so we used to abandon nappies after tea time for the 2 hrs prior to bed and encourage her to pee in a potty at first we were accident prone and then when she was good inthe two hrs we just went for it.
