Hello all,

My child has Speech and Language delays and suspected Autisim and I am just wondering if I would actually KNOW if lo was on a "Child in Need plan" or even a "child protection plan"?

I don’t know what part of the world you are in - regardless you should/would absolutely know if your child was on an additional needs list/child protection plan. Assuming you are an active part of their lives.

Yes you would absolutely know and be a part of the conferences (CPP) or meetings (CIN)

The only way you wouldn't know is if your child had been removed from you and your parental rights taken away/you gave them up

Im in Scotland,

So the CIN also has meetings, there is a multi agency thing set up with the nursery, HV and myself in relation to my lo speech difficulties etc...but never heard the word CIN or CPP though?

Probably a TAC? Team around a child (doesn't need social services involved)

We would refer to them as child planning meeting. Often done to get extra funding and ensure the child is having their needs met within the setting.
