2 week old won't stop feeding!

It's like she's permanently latched on. She won't settle. Anyone else had any experience with this?

I feel guilty at my temptation to give her formula! I'm exhausted, I have an infection, raging temprature so I just want some sleep! I know I would be sleep deprived anyway but this constant feeding is just too much, and if she does settle, it is only on me my chest and for about 20 mins before wanting more food, the second I put her in her Moses basket she wakes up!

Any advice or reassurance this won't last would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds pretty normal for 2 but is still hard work. I would give her some formula to make sure she is full and give your boobs a break. A few bottles of formula won't cause any problems with breast feeding really. It didn't with mine when they were small.
I found it was easier to give a bottle when they are so young. My now 8 month won't easily take a bottle which is a pain at times.

How are you getting on?
What's Ger weight gain like?

With my first she fed LOTS and I discovered that she was just comfort suckling a lot of times. So I gave in a let her have a soother. Not that often and didn't stop feeding often but it helped give my breasts a break (HH here!)

Thanks everyone!

Well I got her weighed Monday and she's pretty much bang on her birth centile still but need to keep an eye to make sure she doesn't drop off. I was expecting a massive weight gain lol! Little fatty haha (I'm only joking). I've started taking her out during the day for a couple of hours or bit longer as it settles her and she's has better timed feeds.

I'm glad to hear it. I used to do similar, feex, burp, nappy then go for a walk with the pram
