Hi just curious to know for you when did the cluster feeding between midnight and morning stop?
I have a 2week old and so exhausted with the average 6 feeds between 12am til 7am.
These feeds last anywhere between 20mins to an hr.

I know it's normal to feed in the early hours due to hormone production etc but keen to know there is light at the end of the tunnel and when I can start hoping it will be.

I have a toddler so can't sleep in the day.

I should also add baby also likes to be held, sometimes after a feed will fall asleep but spring wide awake wanting another feed as soon as i try to put down.

Hi mine eased off a bit between 3-6 weeks although it was hit and miss. Between 6-8 weeks I was getting 3-4 hour gaps between feeds which was heaven!! Hang in there xx

Is baby staying latched on for long enough? The first few minutes will just be the watery first milk then the more calorific hind milk comes behind. If baby isn’t getting to the hind milk he might still be hungry?

Cluster feeding is a nightmare but at two weeks old it’s totally normal because their stomachs are so small. It will pass in a few weeks, keep going & take care of yourself x

I cant wait for 3-4hrs at night. I get that during the day, baby will happily sleep in basket but at night just wouldn't go down and wants to feed constantly.

I had exactly the same... No advice really just posting in solidarity... Baby is nearly 4 weeks now and the cluster feeding is not every night anymore and sometimes it's earlier in the evening now which is more manageable. He still will only sleep when held though which means I'm knackered! Keep trying safe co-sleeping but even that is too much for him atm... Fingers crossed it gets easier and we get more sleep soon! Xx

It felt like it lasted forever!! But my DD is 4 months now and I think it stopped at around 6-8 weeks and she started sleeping for 4-6 hours during the night and then settled a lot faster after the early hours feed.

I felt it helped to just try and enjoy how little and dependant she was because I knew it would last long (although it certainly feels that way). Anyway before I knew it things really were better and easier. And now she sleeps from 9pm-9am with 1 or 2 quick feeds during the night. (except lady night and tonight as she has her first cold Sad )
