Rolling

DS is 19 weeks and has never shown any interest in rolling.
He has bad silent reflux so in the early days we weren't able to do much tummy time and even now he screams if left on his front (or his back) for a short period of time, he prefers sitting up (still needing some help here).
It occurred to me that I may be picking him up to soon when he gets frustrated.
Should I let him get frustrated to encourage him to roll.

I'd continue to pick him up, especially given how young he is. My DD has silent reflux and much preferred being upright, she also didn't roll until she was 5/6 months old.

I should add that the silent reflux is now under control with medication but the dislike of the tummy remains.

DS didn’t roll until he was six months. It’s fine. If your DS is getting frustrated or uncomfortable then pick him up x

My DD hated tummy time too, she started to do it on her own when she rolled. She was also on Ranitidine and Gaviscon until she was 6 months.

My son had a hernia on his belly button which slowly disappeared but meant he didn't like tummy time either. He eventually rolled at 6 months. Don't worry. All you can do is try every now and again and provide distractions
