Should I wake my baby to feed?

She's 2 weeks old tomorrow. Weighed 5lb 10oz at birth and was weighed day before yesterday and was 5lb 13oz. Hasn't fed for nearly 4hrs. She seems content. Was slightly jaundiced until last week but that has now gone.

Should I wake her?

She's breastfed and this afternoon was feeding non stop.

It totally goes against the grain to wake a sleeping baby

Never wake a sleeping baby, they will wake when they need feeding!x

If your concerned do a dream feed and feed whilst she's asleep . It's especially great as they get older and you get into bed and rather than them waking a few hours later you can BF and put them back down x

I was led to believe that babies will feed when they are hungry. I'm sure your baby will wake up and let you know they're hungry soon (my 6 week old sure does!)

@Stinkbomb - oh okay! Just a bit worried she's not fed for a while.

Not to mention her nappy needs changing!

@Zoe2411 I might bound stupid but how would I get her to latch if she's sleeping?

Not stupid at all . If she's hungry and you put her against your boob like you normally would for a feed and almost feed her your nip with abit of coaching from you , she will take it and feed but remain sleeping x
If she's not hungry she won't be bothered about the offer x

Sorry I pressed post before actually finishing lol .. it's a natural reaction for babies to suck when presented with a nip or a dummy etc
So don't worry about her being asleep and trying to latch x
