Should I get a double?

I have a Silvercross Pioneer that I loved with my first who will be 3 end of Jan. I am due my second start of Jan.
My intention was to use the pioneer for my second and get a buggy board for my toddler. But my first is very much a lazy bones and hates walking. She will.tolerate it for 10 mins or so but then will want to be carried or sit in the push chair (she has a stroller still)
I don't think she will stand on the board, she always wants to sit. Am I going to have to get a double?!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Maybe get a sling and then baby can go in the sling and the 3 year old in the buggy.

There are some buggy boards you can get with a little seat so the older child doesn’t have to stand the whole time- could that work?

I would avoid buying a double if it’s just a case of the 3 year old preferring not to walk- it’s one thing if they get tired easily etc but it’s a considerable outlay given you already have a good pram that works for you.

Yeah she is just super lazy and will throw a tantrum if made to walk and not sit down. Maybe the buggy board with a seat is an option, I have never used a sling, are there any that are easy to put on and baby into by yourself? X

Yep, there are lots of different types, something like a close caboo for the first few months and then buckles.

If you have a toddler then a sling will be very useful. Try to find your local sling library for advice.

I suspect if your DC has no option but to walk, she will moan at first but then get used to it. I would avoid getting a double if you can possibly help it!

I had same age gap and same issue. She soon got used to buggy board. I got a second hand double but wish I didn't bother. Huge

I really didn't want to get a double as I loved my pioneer but didn't know if i was making it harder for myself. Fingers crossed the buggy board and/or sling works lol x
