My 15 week old dd is teething so bad im giving her calpol once a day on advise from doctors plus anbesol every 3 hours but she screams and screams she refuses bottles i literally have to restrain her to get her to drink. Hv suggested beaker instead of bottle any mums have any other advise how to get her to drink?!

Not sure as I bf mine but could you try moving to the next teat size? If she's in pain and struggling with the slow flow of a small tear that might put her off?

*small teat

Try moving while giving her a bottle - rocking or pacing. Offer it right after you have numbed her gums with the anbesol. Or offer it when she is just stirring from sleep. Basically, just keep trying and see what works. And keep an eye out for nappy output to make sure she is still drinking enough.

No advice but Flowers I am having a teething baby at 3 months and it’s rough. I breast feed - and she has started ‘biting’ my nipple like a chew toy Shock ....

She wees loads, ive changed teet size worked for a bit but now not, i do rock and sing and ive started dream feeding and literally feeding as she just wakes up this gets a couple ounces down. I even used the calpol syringe and fed her through that yesterday which was bloody long but got 5oz in. :( just makes me feel a crappy mummy not being able to feed and settle her and i try the teething toys but she has zero intrest just chews her hand off or mine

Mine's been teething since she was three months (5 months now and I can see them poking through). It's rough! There's something called the belo mitt that you pop on their hands and they chew that. It's brilliant, about £13 for one but you'll probably be able to find similar things if you don't think the belo is quite right.

I second the feeding as soon as the gym is numb too. Hopefully something will work soon for you!

I have the belo mitt i have Sophia the giraffe i have every different teething toy on the market the mitt is too big for her to use ive held the teething toys to her she doesnt like them she does chew on the end of the dribble bibs i have with inbuilt teethers. Ill numb her gums before her next feed and try that as i just use the stuff every 3 hours but even if its a bit before ill use it see if she feeds better fingers crossed. Has anyone tried ice cubes? My nan suggested it but im not sure?!

I used frozen slices of a banana in a feeding net, but ice cubes would work to. The net prevents any chocking hazard and makes them easy to hold. A&P teething powder has been the most successful of the shop products. We also use dentanox gel on a dummy. You can use gripe water for teething too although we havnt tried it. As long as the products have different active ingredients you can use them in combination to maximise the effect. If she likes to sleep in Pram then we find feeding her a bottle while pushing her works well, although can be a bit tricky!

Can you freeze formula? Perhaps freeze a bit to make a lolly and see if she'll take that? Ds1 was a nightmare teether but he was ok with anbesol on a brush baby to chew. I swapped him from bottles to a cow cup at 10 months which he much preferred but that's obviously a while away for your dd.

Flowers I hope you have plenty of wine Smile
