how do you get them to use a toilet?? ds is 25 months and doing pretty well with potty training(around 1 accident a week) but only uses the potty. whilst on holiday recently we trekked the potty everywhere (even had to use it on the beach as he refused to wee on sand!) but do i really have to keep taking it to tescos etc?! bribed him to use the toilet there last time buy offering to buy chocolate so he squeezed out one drip and waited till he got home and did loads on the potty! not sure whether to get a trainer seat but would he just get attached to that? do you sit boys on it or get them to stand? he can only 'reach' to stand on the little stool we have so that is no good for out and about.

Totally sypmpathise. We can only get a poo in the toilet if we bribe with ice cream!! Nothing wrong with bribery.

I suggest getting a trainer seat. Look at this one, it fits neatly onto the seat and you don't have to keep taking it off an on and the kid can't fall into the toilet giving them a bit more confidence. cgi.ebay.co.uk/FANTASTIC-ANTI-SLAM-ADULT-TODDLERS-TOILET-SEAT_W0QQitemZ260123861525QQihZ016QQcategoryZ37631QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD4VQQcmdZViewItem
Much more hygenic. Have a big seat warming party, stick stickers on it etc. Give a reward each time they sit on it ie stickers (Thomas tank engine etc) give 5 stickers and then a sweet etc. Have a send off / potty farewell and tell your toddler thats it, toilet or nothing, might sound a bit harsh but if the potty goes where else is there???
