I'm due In 2months, just planning ahead as I also have a 3yr old. Water wipes are coming up quiet expensive and I've not seen them on offer recently either. Only used water wipes with my first but I stacked up on 6boxes at £13 a box now there £25. If I have to will buy them again unless anyone can recommend anything which is quiet similar? Not huggies though as I find them very dry

I've heard reusable 'cheeky wipes' are good. Failing that, a good old cotton wool ball and flask of warmish water. One ball was usually all that was needed per nappy change.

We use water wipes out and about but at home use washable wipes. You can make your own but the kits from cheeky wipes suited us better. Once you've avoided buying two boxes of water wipes the6ve paid for themselves. I can't commit to cloth nappies but wipes seem manageable

My son could only use water wipes - he reacted to everything else UNTIL I tried Boots baby sensitive wipes (£3.75 for a pack of 4). They are the only thing that he doesn’t react to and he’s 2.5 now.

I used water wipes for the first six months then switched to boots baby sensitive wipes without problems. I did also try Lidl wipes and huggies and DS ended up with a rash.

Cotton wool pads and a small bowl of water, works way better than wipes which tended to just smear stuff. We only used wipes out and about. Then cheeky wipes for hands and faces once they reach that age, chuck them in with the bibs to wash.

Cheeky wipes are brilliant. Faces, hands, bums sorted 👌🏻 they will ban disposables soon enough so you may as well get ahead of the game now!

Faster · 26/08/2018 22:01

Definitely cloth wipes. I have 35 or so. Wouldn’t go back to disposable wipes now if you paid me.

moreismore · 26/08/2018 22:02

Cheeky wipes all the way!

flannels and warm water.

Grasslands · 26/08/2018 22:03

paper towels, tap water and a zip lock bag...

Spam88 · 26/08/2018 22:03

Water wipes are like £2.75 a pack, so £25 for 6 is ridiculous. Think you should just look elsewhere if that's what you'd like to use.

Puffthemagicdragongoestobed · 26/08/2018 22:03

Kitchen towel and water works well too

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 26/08/2018 22:08

Jackson Reece

Dermymc · 26/08/2018 22:08

Cheeky wipes washable wipes for sure.

I'm Shock that people pay this much for water wipes.

Mummyme87 · 26/08/2018 22:09

Reusable wipes such as cheeky wipes, 100%. I’m a water wipe lover as I found them the best disposable wipe. Then I found cheeky wipes with DS1. They are great for bums, hands and faces. Nownon DS2 and having had to buy anymore. I just wet a few and put them in a wet bag before going out. One wipe per nappy

backstreetboysareback · 26/08/2018 22:09

Morrison's own sensitive. I bought water wipes for 3 years and they are the closest I have found , about 64p a pack

Smugpenguin · 26/08/2018 22:11

Amazon have a 12 pack of water wipes for £24 at the moment.

We use them for out and about, but we use cloth cheeky wipes and warm water at home. £15 for 25 reusable wipes.

offupop · 26/08/2018 22:12

Huggies pure are 99% water now, they also so a water wipe version I saw today in boots. Didn't read back of packet. They are usually on a deal less than a pound a packet or multi for much less. Water wipes go mouldy, so don't pre-stock up!

TwigTheWonderKid · 26/08/2018 22:34

Bulk bought terry flannels which cost about 25p each and used warm water. Put them in a zip lock bag when we were out and about.

lauryloo · 26/08/2018 22:39

Cheeky wipes are fab.

barneymcgroo · 26/08/2018 22:48

Cloth wipes. The Nappy Lady website does some brilliant ones - they're big enough that you don't usually need more than one.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 27/08/2018 13:01

Also Costco had them on for £17 for 12 a while back.

hethajf · 29/08/2018 14:04

Another vote for cheeky wipes here... I always used Aldi sensitive for dd1 but David Attenborough made me feel guilty! Now on dd2 (12 days old), I took a pack of water wipes to hospital with me but we’ve still got over half of that pack left because cheeky wipes are sooo much better, you only need to use 1 cheeky wipe for a poonami where you’d need 5 water wipes and you can just throw them in the wash with the rest of your washing (and the essential oils smell lovely, we use mandarin for hands and faces and lavender for bums Grin)
