Birthday present ideas for 7 year old boy

Hi,

My youngest of 3 sons turns 7 next month and his Grandparents are after ideas of what to get him for his birthday (as am I!).

He has 2 older brothers so has no shortage of stuff and had a new hand me down bike over the summer.

We tend to give the children gifts of experiences now for Christmas but find it harder to do this for birthdays as it's not really fair for the birthday child to have his siblings piggy backing on his present.

Can anyone give any ideas please. 2 gifts. Both about £50 budget. He is very outdoorsy, not enormously crafty, loves animals (no we are not buying him a pet!).

Many thanks Thanks

My son is How to train your dragon made so thinking about that in playmobil. Also on our list (for Christmas) is a leather football and football boots, he's also asking for jumping blades Confused

Thank you. He has a fair bit of SuperHero small play that's largely ignored. I've just had magazine inspiration and asked my parents for a subscription to National Geographic Kids. Now for something from us Hmm

The footy idea is great but mine have footy boots handed down and all 2 years apart so we have no shortage of clothes etc.

Does he like books? The 13 story treehouse series is great you could get the box set

What about a set for the garden? Cricket, croquet, gardening etc?

Or indoor games, marble run, twister, dominos etc.

My 8 year old loves an audiobook before he goes to sleep. What about a cheap CD player and some audiobooks? Roald Dahl, Paddington, world's worst children etc.

A children's encyclopaedia or atlas? Usborne do nice ones.

A really nice Lego set? £50 will buy quite a lot. He might be ready for Lego technic at 7 (with help).

Thank you Guernsey his older brother has that book set and it will be handed down - I really struggle as with 2 very lucky older brothers he has access to a lot already.

Some of the new Harry Potter Lego?

LazyDoll · 26/08/2018 23:11

Twister is a good idea we don't have that one! And I'll take a look at the Lego but will have to police him with it as he's lazy and will get his biggest brother to do it for him if I don't watch out 🙈

He does LOVE Harry Potter and neither brother has any of that as fairly new. I'll get onto Amazon and check out the sets!
