Our boiler has broken down and we aren't getting a new one installed for another three days and it's feeling chilly in a night!

it's not safe to run for a long time (fire risk)
great for a blast of heat though to take the chill off.

Maybe ok to warm the room up prior to bedtime instead of all night then!

Thanks 😀

Hot water bottles in the bed prior to putting them down will take the chill off the sheets?

Assuming your baby is in a cot and can’t get to the heater then yes I’d put it in the room, but wouldn’t run it when I wasn’t there. Just a blast before bedtime and maybe if there’s a night feed.

My now toddler’s bedroom was very cold as a baby and we used an oil filled electric radiator on low overnight in the winter.

They're a fire risk if left to run too long unattended, it's as dangerous for a baby as for anyone else unfortunately.

We live in a place that's only cold for about 6-8 weeks and heating is not built into homes. So we have oil filled radiators and use the fan heater in the bathroom to keep it warm during bath time.

It amazed me how difficult it was to find an electric radiator in stock as "it's still summer" 😩.

We managed to just use the fan heater to heat the room before bed then I switched it off as I was too paranoid to leave it running. I'll be using it this morning just before nap time too.

I CANT WAIT to have the boiler up and running 😩😩😩😩😩
