Off road pram

I'm looking for advice from anyone who has an off road pram/buggy.
We have the mothercare journey travel system which they said should fair relatively well off road when we bought it before our first baby arrived... I can assure you it does not! After a terrible attempt at a day out today where the terrain at a country fair type event was near impossible to push the pram around = screaming baby and us having to leave early, I'm determined to really do my research for the next pram.
Our baby is 4 weeks old, and we have a dog which means we do a lot of off road walking, so I'm after any advice on any prams to look at?

Thank you in advance Smile

I bought a cheap second hand silver cross sleep over and it goes easily across rough grass and uneven stone. I do use a sling or backpack for really rough terrain as well

Second greenwoman, I have a second hand sx on the bouncy chassis and it glides over tree roots/dirt tracks/grass etc. I live in a semi rural market down and my friends are often muttering profanities at their ££ bugs!

The new mountain buggy compared to the pre2010 version is shit (owned the pre2010 model, and have used the newer one). Out and about nipper sport is good but feels a little flimsy (friend had one), baby jogger summit xc has a fixable front wheel and have just walked over a pebble beach fully loaded with mine, thule have one very similar to the nipper sport and it is amazing but so is the price tag (sil owns this one)! Dependant on how off road you go, i have dogs and used to live in the dales, if it were me again i would go thule, summit xc then nipper sport. On an aside check out a website called running buggies, you need large wheels and fixed wheels or te possibility to fix the front wheel.

Out and about. Brilliant. I have 2. I keep one at the stables for getting mucky in daily. It goes through paddocks, over travel, on the beach, woodland walks. And cheap on comparison to others! I paid £30 second hand for the one at the stables. Other one was new at about £220.
