2 month old sleep routine

My daughter is 8 weeks old and she spends all day cat napping on and off but never for more than around fifteen minutes at a time which makes it really difficult to get anything done. Is there anything I could be doing to get her into a more established routine during the day or is it too early?

I was told that children will not start to recognise a routine till around 4 months old. But there is nothing stopping you starting to get your self into a routine, best advice I received was 'just because baby is awake doesn't mean they need held'. Have you tried a baby carrier? I've heard alot of people swear by them to get jobs done around the house

I made the 'always held' mistake with my first and my life was very difficult for the first year of his life lol! 😩 very true! this time I haven't done that with my daughter and I can lay her down to sleep and she will go over herself. When she wakes from a sleep she willl usually lie and babble/ look around for a while so I don't jump straight away to pick her up but when she's lying wide awake for ten mins or so I always feel guilty and want to play with her so I usually do a story or get the play mat out. It's just a constant cycle of feed, sleep, play each hour and no big long blocks of sleep. I actually bought a baby carrier a few days ago from gumtree so I could try taking her round the house with me whilst I did chores etc but she wasn't keen and get annoyed after five minutes which isn't like her- she really never cries unless she's super pissed off 😂
